Notice of Polling District review

If you have registered to vote, you will receive a card just before the elections telling you where you should go to vote.

If you have a postal vote or proxy vote, you will also receive a polling card to confirm this. You can vote between 7.00am and 10.00pm.

A poll card will be issued for information only. You can vote without it but it will save time if you take it to the polling station and show it to the clerk there.

Once your details have been verified, you will be given a ballot paper listing all the candidates' names and any political party they represent.

To choose the candidate you wish to represent you, simply mark X in the box then place your ballot paper into the secure ballot box.

Once the polling stations have closed, all ballot boxes are returned to Halton Stadium where they are counted, checked and the results announced.

The Council votes by thirds, this means that a third of our 54​ councillors are elected every year over a four-year cycle (with no elections in the fourth year).
