Alcohol

You can apply for a variety of alcohol licences online

For further information please see the 2003 licencing act, the amended guidance issued under Section 182 of the Licensing Act 2003 and our statement of licencing policy.  Premises Licences are not subject to tacit authorisation applications are processed within the statutory period of time following receipt of a fully completed application. There is a public register of Premises Licence applications. Unfortunately this register is not available online however if you require any information regarding a premises licence please contact legalservices@halton.gov.uk

Club Premises Certificates are not subject to tacit authorisation however applications are processed within the statutory period of time following receipt of a fully completed application. There is a public register of Club Premises Certificate applications. Gambling

A number of matters under the Gambling Act are administered by the ​ Gambling Commission and not the local authority. Halton Borough Council is required to prepare and publish a statement of Gambling Policy (“the statement”) they propose to apply in exercising their functions under the Gambling Act 2005.  You can apply online for licence permits.

A Sex Shop, Sex Cinema and Sex Entertainment Venue Licence is not subject to tacit authorisation however applications are normally processed within 14 working days of receipt of a fully completed application. There is no public register of Sex Shops, Sex Cinemas and Sex Entertainment Venue Licence however if you require any further information please contact legalservices@halton.gov.uk
