 Veterans Community Museum
Applies to-Teachers and Secretaries
Please find attached an opportunity for your school.  I have been working alongside the Veterans Community Museum to develop their community use and promote the excellent museum that they have based alongside the Halton Royal British Legion, Halton Village.

To that end, the committee in place at the Veterans Community Museum would like to extend invite to all schools across Halton to visit the facility and provide an engagement opportunity with those children who may learn about history of war / combat on the school curriculum.

Attached is a letter from the Chair, Tom Doyle, with invite information and contact details if your school wish to make a booking to visit to the museum.

It truly is a fascinating experience and the items that are displayed in the museum have some amazing back stories, all told by Tom and other volunteers when you visit.

Learning from Case Reviews and Audits

17th May, 10am – 12pm

Riverside College, Widnes

Dear Colleagues

The next HSCB event on disseminating findings from Multi-Agency Audits and Case Reviews will take place on 17th May, 10am – 12pm, at Riverside College on Kingsway, Widnes.  We want to ensure that frontline practitioners have a good understanding of what practice in Halton looks like, what we have learnt from reviews and audits and examples of good practice.   Therefore can you promote this widely amongst frontline staff, commissioned services, colleagues and managers and promote attendance from your service area.

The Briefing will provide messages on the following

·        Children coming into Care

·        Child Emotional Health and Wellbeing

·        Human Trafficking

Based on our findings we want to see agencies who work with adults and commissioned services so if you know of a service delivered to Halton families, children or adults that we have not included, please share this with them.

Places can be secured via the training booking service on the Training age of the Halton Safeguarding Children Board website:  http://haltonsafeguarding.co.uk/training/
