Terrific Scientific initiative
Applies to all Primary schools
Dear Sir or Madam,
I’m a producer on BBC Learning’s Terrific Scientific initiative, and I wonder if you might be able to help let your primary schools know about all the free resources and 5 brand new investigations for next academic year?
We’re aiming to inspire primary children aged 9 – 11 to get excited about science, with a series of classroom based investigations, online resources, live internet lessons and classroom support to their teachers. It’s all designed to help deliver the objectives of the science curricula for this age group across the UK, and it’s all free.
Class teachers can upload data to our interactive map and share and compare their results with other classes around the UK. Teachers have to register first, get the key dates into their lesson plans, and we’ll keep in touch with updates and news as more investigations and resources are released.
You’ll find more details about Terrific Scientific here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/terrificscientific
Any assistance on this would be gratefully received: almost 5,000 schools have signed up so far and the feedback is very positive. We have a great set of resources for schools and I’m keen to make sure that as many teachers as possible around the UK are aware of what we have to offer, and register to take part.
